What summer 2023 brought to Webikon
There are now fourteen of us on the team, plus AI. And a few freelancers who prefer not to be pinned down. With more of us than ever, we can get more done, and have more fun too.
We still build plenty of company websites for businesses large and small, information portals, media content portals and interesting e-commerce solutions with a wide range of integrations. But we also build mobile apps and web applications with reactive front ends. All of these are our projects.

The Webikon story
Look back with us at how we started and how far we have come. It all began in 2007, when Peter Nemčok and Ján Bočínec met as contributors on a WordPress forum. Together they built a strong WordPress community in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and later laid the foundations of Webikon.
2007–2009
The first meetups and a WordPress community
The WordPress community started meeting offline too, and so the first meetups were born.
2009
The Webikon brand takes shape
More and more people were taking an interest in WordPress and needed advice. So Jano and Peťo teamed up and started thinking about the Webikon brand and how to help people online in earnest.
2012
The first WordCamp Slovakia
WordPress enthusiasts met at the very first WordCamp in Slovakia, held in Žilina.
We launched our new service, Webentor
Webentor grew out of our clients' need to get their websites quickly while keeping them custom-designed and as flexible as possible. It is a tool and a process in one: our way of delivering a website in days or weeks rather than months.
