# Tatra banka Na splátkyᵀᴮ

> A WooCommerce plugin that lets online shops easily add the Na splátky TB payment method, so their customers can spread the cost of a purchase.

## A new payment method without complex integration.

Tatra banka launched Na splátky TB, a service that lets customers pay for online purchases with a consumer loan.

Our job was to make this payment method available to WooCommerce shop owners and to make setting it up as simple as possible.

**Archived project.** We built the plugin when the Na splátky TB service launched. Today the bank offers this payment method through its own TatraPay plugin.

### A new service, a new API

We started by analysing the API documentation for Na splátky TB. Because the service was brand new, its specification kept changing during development.

So we designed the technical solution to let us respond to changes without making the implementation needlessly complicated.

### For the shop, a few clicks

The main goal was that WooCommerce shop owners would not have to deal with a complicated integration when adding the new payment method.

We drew on our experience developing WooCommerce payment plugins and built a plugin that adds Na splátky TB to an existing online shop with ease.

### Customers must be able to see the option too

Integration alone is not enough. Customers need to find the option to pay in instalments and quickly understand how it works.

Together with the Tatra banka team, we worked out how to display elements of the service directly on the product page and in the basket.

Customers learn they can pay in instalments at the very moment they are deciding to buy.

**The payment option must be visible and instantly clear.**

### Developed hand in hand with the bank

We worked directly inside Tatra banka's online working environment. Day-to-day communication and status meetings took place in the bank's own tools.

Open, regular communication meant we could respond to changes in the API and to further requests during implementation.

### A new service in established shops

Na splátky TB was a new service, so programming the plugin was only part of the job. The new API had to fit the existing WooCommerce environment, and the end customer's experience had to be considered too.

WooCommerce shops can now add the new payment method without building their own integration from scratch.
