# Webikon news 2023

> New projects, experiences, adventures and plenty more. That is what 2023 brought us.

### What summer 2023 brought to Webikon

There are now [fourteen](/en/about-us/) of us on the team, plus [AI](/en/blog/artificial-intelligence/). And a few freelancers who prefer not to be pinned down. With more of us than ever, we can get more done, and [have more fun](/en/blog/magical-terchova/) too.

We still build plenty of company websites for businesses large and small, information portals, media content portals and [interesting e-commerce solutions](/en/services/ecommerce-development/) with a wide range of integrations. But we also build mobile apps and web applications with reactive front ends. All of these are [our projects](/en/projects/).

### The Webikon story

Look back with us at how we started and how far we have come. It all began in 2007, when Peter Nemčok and Ján Bočínec met as contributors on a WordPress forum. Together they built a strong WordPress community in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and later laid the foundations of Webikon.
